Which may lead to diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, scurvy, obesity, osteoporosis as well as psychological and behavioral problems. Many common diseases and their symptoms can often be prevented or alleviated with better nutrition. All of us eat food, food provides nourishment to the body and enables the body to stay fit and healthy. Generally, the health of a person depends on the kind and amount of food we eat. The right kind of food eaten in the right quality is necessary for good health.

A balanced diet is one which contains different types of food in such quantities the goat the individuals need for the various nutrients adequately that the individuals need for the various nutrients are adequately met, and some amount of nutrients are stored in the body to enable the body to withstand a short period of low dietary intake.

Every good food and liquid contains some important nutrients like carbohydrates, proteins, fats and some important vitamins, minerals and water.
