Dr. Chetan B.Mahajan has an experience of over 20 years in the field of surgical gastroenterology. Presently working at Prathima Hospitals at Kacheguda & Kukatpally. CALS - Dr. Chetan's Advanced Laproscopy & Surgical Gastroenterology, Himayat Nagar Hyderabad, as Consultant-Surgical Gastroenterologist and Hepatobiliary Surgeon. He is also associated with many other hospitals in the Hyderabad, Northeast and Maharastra. His was previously associated with Deccan Hospital and Care group of Hospitals as Consultant Hepatobiliary surgeon. Consultant Liver Transplant Surgeon, Care hospitals, Hyderabad. & Consultant Hepatobiliay Pancreatic and GI surgery, Narayana Malla Reddy Hospitals, Hyderabad. Asst Professor, Dept of Surgery , Malla Reddy Womens Medical College , Hyderabad and Yashoda Hospitals, Hyderabad, as Consultant , Surgical Gasteroenterologist and Hepatobiliary Surgeon. Worked as Consultant hepatobiliary and liver transplant surgeon at Wockhardt Hospital (Associate of Havard Medical International), Mumbai as a consultant in the department of Hepatobiliary-pancreatic surgery and Liver Transplant. Wockhardt Hospital is a tertiary care hospital with state of art equipments and facilities. This is the only second hospital in India which is JCI (Joint Commision International) acrediated. The hospital is involved in adult living (ALDLT) and cadaveric liver transplant programme. This is the only first unit in South and Western India and second in India to start a Living Donor Liver Transplant programme. Successfully conducted the first adult to adult living donor liver transplant in Mumbai and southern part of India at Wockhardt Hospital. Worked as lecturer in Dept of Gen Surgery , Government Medical College and Hospital, Aurangabad. The work included Gen Surgery , Peadiatric Surgery, Gastrointestinal Surgery and Traumatology. Worked in the Dept of Surgical Gastroenterology as a fellow for one year and six months at NIMS. This period had plenty of clinical and complex operative procedures.
